Oracle Database 10g : Administration Workshop I
This course is your first step towards success as an Oracle professional, designed to give you a firm foundation in basic database administration. In this class, you'll learn how to install and maintain an Oracle database. You will gain a conceptual understanding of the Oracle database architecture and how its components work and interact with one another. You will also learn how to create an operational database and properly manage the various structures in an effective and efficient manner including performance monitoring, database security, user management, and backup/recovery techniques.
Oracle Database 10g : Administration Workshop II
This course advances your success as an Oracle professional in the area of database administration. In this class, you'll learn how to configure an Oracle database for multilingual applications. You will practice various methods of recovering the database using RMAN and Flashback technology. Database performance monitoring tools will be covered, in addition to the steps to take to resolve common problems and improve performance.
Oracle Database 10g : Introduction to SQL
This course introduces Oracle Database 10g technology and the relational database concepts and the powerful SQL programming language. This course provides the learners with the essential SQL skills of querying the database, the meta data and creating database objects. In addition, the course also delves into the advanced querying and reporting techniques, data warehousing concepts and manipulating large data sets in different time zones. This is the prerequisite to the OCP DBA and OCP Developer tracks.
Oracle Database 10g : Program with PL/SQL
This course introduces students to PL/SQL and helps them understand the benefits of this powerful programming language. In the class, students learn to create PL/SQL blocks of application code that can be shared by multiple forms, reports, and data management applications.
Oracle Reports Developer 10g : Build Reports
In this course, students learn how to design and build a variety of standard and custom Web and paper reports using Oracle Reports Developer. Working in the declarative environment of Reports Builder, students learn how to retrieve, display, and format data from any data source in numerous reporting styles and publish the output to any destination.
Oracle Forms Developer 10g : Build Internet Applications
In this course, you will build, test and deploy Internet applications with Oracle Forms. Working in a graphical user interface (GUI) environment, you learn how to build forms with user input items such as check boxes, list items, and radio groups. You will also display Form elements in multiple windows and customize data access by creating event-related triggers. This is one of the three exams required to achieve the OCP Developer Certification.
